Documentation
1. Install
- Download the installer from your purchase email or the Download button on the home page.
- Double-click
Writerify-Setup-X.Y.Z.exe. - Windows may show a SmartScreen warning ("Windows protected your PC"). Click More info → Run anyway. This is one-time per version, normal for unsigned installers.
- Pick install directory (default:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Writerify) and finish the wizard. - Launch from Start Menu or the desktop shortcut.
2. First-time launch & free trial
On first launch, Writerify automatically starts a 3-day premium free trial — no card, no signup. Every feature is unlocked: unlimited sites, all article types, bulk publish, scheduling, YouTube embeds. The top-right corner shows a live countdown TRIAL · 7d left.
After 72 hours the trial expires and the app gates behind the License page. Paste a paid license key there to continue. Your articles, settings, and prompt customizations all stay safe during the transition.
3. Connect an AI provider
Writerify supports four providers — pick at least one:
- Claude (Anthropic) — works with your existing Claude Pro/Max subscription via the Claude Code CLI. Free for you (no extra API cost). Install Claude Code, run
claude login, then Writerify auto-detects the session. - OpenAI (ChatGPT) — needs an API key from platform.openai.com.
- Gemini (Google) — needs an API key from aistudio.google.com.
- OpenRouter (multi-model) — one key unlocks 200+ models (Claude, GPT-5, Llama, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, etc.). Sign up at openrouter.ai.
Open the AI Providers page from the sidebar, paste your key, click Test connection, then Save. The TopBar pill flips to "OpenRouter connected" (or whichever provider) once it's wired up.
4. Generate your first article
- Click Informative in the sidebar.
- Paste one keyword per line in the Keywords box (e.g.,
how to set up home automation with home assistant). - Pick your AI provider + model on the right.
- Choose content length (Short / Medium / Long / Extra-long / In-depth).
- Optional: custom prompt (Step 2 injection) and reference URL (structure mimicry).
- Click Generate. The 7-step pipeline runs in one session per keyword — typically 4–8 minutes per article.
- Articles save to
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Writerfy Output\by default. View them on the Library page.
5. Add a publishing site
Click Sites in the sidebar. Two types:
- WordPress — paste your site URL, username, and an Application Password. Click Test then Save.
- Next.js — paste your custom API endpoint + token, or wire up a GitHub repo for direct commits.
Once a site is added you can set it as the auto-publish target on the Generate or Best · VS · Single pages. Articles auto-publish as they finish generating.
6. Amazon affiliate workflow
- Click Best · VS · Single in the sidebar.
- Pick article type: Best List / Single Review / VS Comparison / Quick Roundup.
- Add an Amazon Associates tracking code in the Tracking ID card (e.g.,
yoursite-20). - Pick a mode:
- Auto from keywords — paste keywords, Writerify scrapes Amazon and picks top-rated products.
- Manual ASINs — paste exact ASINs / Amazon URLs for full control.
- Click Generate. Each article ships with: hero card, comparison table, score breakdown, JSON-LD Review + ItemList schemas, image-credit attribution, optional YouTube embeds.
Heads up: Amazon throttles scraping. Keep bulk batches under ~20 keywords/hour. Failed keywords appear in the queue with retry buttons.
7. Schedule + bulk publish
The Schedule page lets you generate 30+ articles up front, then drip-publish them across the next N days at the times you pick. Per-article date pickers, batch progress tracking, automatic retry on transient failures. Set it once, walk away.
8. License management
Open the License page from the sidebar. You can:
- Activate a license key (one PC per key, hardware-bound).
- Re-check license status manually.
- Deactivate & release seat — moves your license to a new PC. Click here first, then activate the same key on the new machine.
- View your machine fingerprint (for support inquiries).
9. Troubleshooting
Amazon search keeps failing
Amazon's anti-bot system is throttling. Wait 10–30 minutes and retry. The scraper auto-retries 5 times per keyword with exponential backoff before giving up. As a fallback, switch to Manual ASIN mode and paste the products you want.
Generated article reads "I tested this"
It shouldn't — the v2.1.30+ prompts have a hard ban on fabricated personal-use claims. If you see this, your saved persona / prompt template was edited and may need a reset. Open the Prompts page → click Reset to defaults.
License says "wrong machine"
Your license is currently bound to a different PC. On the OTHER computer, open Writerify → License page → Deactivate & release seat. Then come back here and activate the same key. If you no longer have access to the other machine, email support@writerify.org with your license key and we'll release the seat manually.
App crashes / generates corrupted articles
Open the Activity log at the bottom of the screen — find the red error rows and email a screenshot to support@writerify.org. Include your Writerify version (visible in the sidebar) and the keyword that failed.
